Why do you think change is important?
"Change is important because it forces us to grow beyond our comfort zone. There is nothing wrong with being comfortable. But what I've discovered is that comfort rarely elicits growth. My biggest transformation came from the most uncomfortable places I visited, the places I feared the most, the places that were the most polarizing from what I was accustomed to. I had stereotypes and preconceived judgements about these places that I didn’t even know I had. Once I began to push beyond my fear and see the world for what it truly is, I could never unsee all of the good I saw—even if at times it was uncomfortable to reconcile head-on. This was the most precious gift I have ever given to myself and it has left an indelible mark on my consciousness."
Do you have an tips on how to make a "big change?"
"Transforming into someone you have never been before is a surefire way to achieve something you never have before. How vast you live your life will be precisely measured by the magnitude at which you are willing, and able, to sit down with discomfort."
What have you learned from your plot twist?
" If anything, how small and unwise I really am. How privileged I am to live the life I live. And how we are all in this together--every single human being on the planet, no matter how different we think we may be. WE ARE ALL THE SAME!"
What is your favorite quote?
"One day your life is going to flash before your eyes. Make sure it's worth watching."
